The Yarmouth Chorale is a four-part (SATB), non-auditioned  community choir, made up of amateur singers from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and the Tri-Counties Area. We meet Monday evenings from 6:45 – 9:00. Currently, our membership is approximately 60 singers, ranging in age from 13 – 80-something. The only prerequisite to joining is a love of ensemble singing, and the joy of making music.

We perform twice a year, with two concerts at Christmas. We team up with the Yarmouth Orchestra and Citizens’ Band and perform music of the Holiday Season — some sacred, some secular. It is the show that, for many in our community, begins the Christmas Season. If you’re in the area in early December, check us out. We guarantee that you will be in the Christmas mood by the time you leave.

Our second performance is usually the first Saturday in May. This concert provides us an opportunity to explore lots of different repertoire, with selections from Renaissance through the swing classics.  This year included a wicked performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
